AC Milan have identified Mikkel Damsgaard as a summer target and could make an offer regardless of Rafael Leao’s future, a report claims.
As reported by il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri are big admirers of the 20-year-old who they followed during the 2020-21 season with Sampdoria and at the European Championships with Denmark. They could make an offer to Samp regardless of whether Leao stays or not.
The Dane is a flexible player from a tactical point of view and could also play on the right wing if needed or even behind the strikers. His ideal position remains the left wing, but he is young and Pioli could work on him to take advantage of his great qualities.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) confirms Milan’s interest in the Dane, can play in all positions behind the striker, knows Serie A and is considered an “Elliott-like” profile because he is young, with a low salary and high potential. A €30m asking price is set, with the Rossoneri reflecting.
