Reports: Milan enquire about young Benfica star to increase goal production

By Isak Möller -

Milan have struggled to find the back of the net in recent weeks, wasting many chances in the games. The two-legged tie against Man Utd was a great example of this, as they really wasted their chance of going through.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic came on in the second half on Thursday and things looked different straight, which just goes to show how important a good striker is. Therefore, ahead of next season and the future, Milan are monitoring several names.

One of them is Darwin Nunez, who plays for Benfica, as reported by the Portuguese newspaper Record. The Rossoneri have followed the 21-year-old for quite some time and recently enquired about his situation, looking for more information.

Daniele Longo added that Milan are indeed interested in the Uruguayan striker, who has scored four goals (plus seven assists) in 20 league appearances this season. Even last summer, the Rossoneri were very interested in Nunez.
