Reports: Milan face competition for Brazilian forward as Crotone director speaks

AC Milan face competition from at least two other Serie A clubs if they are to sign Junior Messias from Crotone, according to a report.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for Messias over the past few days as a potential reinforcement for the attacking department, but it has been mentioned that he would only arrive as a replacement for Jesus Corona.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), Torino are also looking at Messias as a potential signing for late in the window. The Granata are looking for an attacking reinforcement and have been following the 30-year-old for some time, with their president Urbano Cairo to meet Crotone and discuss the operation.

Not only that, but Giuseppe Ursino – Crotone’s sporting director – has also confirmed that Fiorentina are keen on landing the Brazilian. He spoke to Lady Radio and mentioned La Viola as a possible candidate to sign him, as well as three to four other clubs.

“Yes, in the last few days there has been half an interest in Fiorentina, but now I don’t know what will happen: there are also other 3-4 teams on the player. Surely the player will move permanently and not on loan, the teams who want to have to move immediately and get to the point: Messias is very good and can cover many roles,” he said (via Calciomercato.com).
