Reports: Milan intend to part ways with duo in January – likely destinations

By Isak Möller -

In the January transfer window, AC Milan will not just be looking to reinforce their squad, but also thin it out. The players that haven’t played much at all this season are almost certain to go, with two main suspects.

As reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri don’t intend to keep unused players on the payroll and thus there will be some movement. Samu Castillejo and Andrea Conti top the list of exit-bound players.

MilanNews have stated the same, adding that Castillejo has attracted interest in Spain and could return to La Liga. His contract will expire in 2023 and any offers will be evaluated along with his agent.

As for Conti, there have been some polls in Italy but nothing that has excited him thus far. His contract will expire in the summer and at this point, the Rossoneri just want to get him off the wage bill as soon as possible.
