Reports: Milan interested in Brazilian striker with 21 goals already this season

By Oliver Fisher -

There are now a number of sources reporting that AC Milan are interested in signing Basel striker Arthur Cabral next summer.

We told you earlier today how PianetaMilan are reporting that the Milan management are lining up at least two strikers for next summer and Arthur Mendonça Cabral is a concrete target, with the club having scouted him for the last few months.

The 23-year-old striker moved from Palmeiras in Brazil to Basel last year and has scored 21 goals in 19 games across all competitions so far this season, making him the top scorer in Europe at the moment.

Now Calciomercato.com are also reporting that Arthur Cabral is a target for Milan. he is under contract with the Swiss until 2023 and is valued between €15-20m. This is backed up by SpazioMilan who also have the same asking price reported, as does RompiPallone.it.

Milan currently have three strikers in the squad but Ibrahimovic and Giroud, due to age, do not guarantee full reliability from a physical point of view while Pellegri seems not to be part of Stefano Pioli’s plans as he too is struggling to be at top condition.
