Reports: Milan ‘seriously trying’ for Man Utd wide man – deal expected to be ‘closed soon’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are continuing with their attempts to sign Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot, according to reports.

It seemed as though Milan’s right-back department would be staying the same with Davide Calabria having enjoyed a resurgence of sorts early in the season, however there has been an abundance of speculation suggesting things could change.

However, Sky Italia have reported for the last three days that Milan have a concrete interest in Dalot, and now this has been confirmed by more reliable sources.

According to Anto Vitiello of MilanNews, Milan are continuing to negotiate for the signing of the Portuguese defender in what is described as a ‘difficult’ operation, but there were more contacts today.

Meanwhile, Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com has also confirmed that further talks were held on Friday and that the Rossoneri management are ‘seriously trying’ to unlock a deal for the former Porto star before the window shuts. He adds that it is a ‘good deal’ that can be ‘soon closed’.
