AC Milan should soon be able to announce the appointment of Vincenzo Vergine as the new head of the youth sector, according to a report.
As Calciomercato.com report, Roma are set for another change in their youth sector after Alberto De Rossi left two seasons ago and Vincenzo Vergine replaced him. The latter is also about to leave and try a new challenge.
With Roma, Vergine achieved three titles in a single season in 2022 with the Coppa Italia Primavera and in the U17 and U16 titles, a record for the club.
Milan are the team that awaits him, with the Rossoneri having made the decision not to renew the contract of Angelo Carbone. Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio had different ideas and it seems that they have convinced Vergine to make the switch.
The report cites Il Corriere dello Sport who claim that Roma have already found a replacement. It will be Mauro Leo who will try to fill the void after Vergine’s exit.
