AC Milan have several interesting names on their wish list and one of them is Facundo Gonzalez. The Valencia starlet is coming off a very successful U20 World Cup and has caught the attention of Geoffrey Moncada.
Gonzalez was one of the key players for Uruguay in the U20 World Cup, winning the competition after beating Italy in the final. He currently plays for Valencia’s reserve team but the Spanish side are well aware of what he could become.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via SempreMilan), Moncada has watched the centre-back in action several times. The chief scout is pushing for the move but the feasibility of the operation is yet to be understood.
As added by Daniele Longo, Milan don’t have any attempts planned for the 20-year-old as things stand but the matter could always change. The dialogue with Valencia, given the Yunus Musah negotiation, is open and one thing could lead to another. Especially if Matteo Gabbia were to leave.
It’s worth pointing out that Gonzalez has an Italian passport, meaning he wouldn’t take up a non-EU slot.
Wow
No more Italian players
I want to win games not focus wether they are Italians or where the F there from
💯, about time someone said it,the luxury of Italian players would be nice but the Italian owners are stuck in the 1990’s,.
Frattasi for €40m, that is hilarious we just but Pulisic and Rijanders both for the same amount and both are better.
So why should we bother with Italian players
buy him, loan him
Aren’t there young Italian players of interest to Moncada?
They won’t come cheap
