Reports: Milan ‘well advanced’ in negotiations over loan with option deal for Roma defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in advanced talks with Roma over the signing of versatile defender Alessandro Florenzi, according to reports.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have been forced to change tactics because negotiations with Manchester United for Diogo Dalot have not moved forward. Florenzi is seen as a low-cost solution and a reliable player with international experience.

He can leave Roma with the formula of a loan with option to buy and that is the formula Milan have offered, with the possibility of it becoming an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. Agent Alessandro Lucci will meet the Giallorossi manager Tiago Pinto to talk about the right-back and also Edin Dzeko.

A transfer to the Rossoneri could represent the best solution for all parties involved given that the player wants a fresh start and would find space at Milan, and Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews confirms that the talks are ‘well advanced’.
