Napoli are closing in on a deal with Celta Vigo for AC Milan midfield target Stanislav Lobotka, according to a number of sources.
It was reported by Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it) on Saturday that the Rossoneri’s three directors Zvonomir Boban, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have a shortlist of potential signings for the regista position, and the Slovakian international is among the desired names.
According to an update from Sky Italia though (via Football Italia), it appears as the Milan’s Serie A rivals Napoli are closing in on getting the deal done as they have offered €16m plus €2m in bonuses – very close to Celta’s €20m asking price.
Lobotka for his part is apparently ready to give the green light to move to the Stadio San Paolo, having already agreed personal terms on a deal worth €1.8m per season plus performance-related bonuses (via SportItalia).
Milan have not yet completely ruled themselves out of the race, the report adds, but would only be ready to take Lobotka on loan with an option to buy.
