Reports: Newcastle offered out-of-favour AC Milan veteran; Celta Vigo readying bid

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Lucas Biglia faces an uncertain future at the club with a number of teams having reportedly been offered his services.

The Argentine is currently on the treatment table with yet another injury, this time a thigh problem which is due to keep him out of action until later this month, and with his contract set to expire in June his agent is at work to find a new club.

MilanNews.it recently reported that Biglia will have been a €40m investment for Milan by the time his contract expires in June, but he may be leaving sooner than anticipated.

The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday that Norwich and Watford have been ‘offered the chance’ to sign Biglia in addition to LaLiga side Celta Vigo.

Now, Spanish outlet Diario AS are claiming that Newcastle have been also been given the opportunity to sign the 33-year-old this month, who does not appear to be part of Stefano Pioli’s plans.

According to Pietro Balzano Prota of Radio Rossonera though, it is Celta Vigo who seem to be the most keen and they are preparing an offer for the midfielder.
