AC Milan still hope to be able to sell midfielder Lucas Paqueta this summer, reports claim, or even use him in a swap deal to land another target.
According to Saturday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive), the Rossoneri still hope to be able to move the 23-year-old midfielder despite an impressive showing during Wednesday’s preseason win over Novara.
Paqueta’s sale would give Milan additional resources for the incoming transfer market. Loan offers have arrived but they have not been enough to satisfy Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, therefore it will likely take some time before his future is resolved.
The idea of a move to Fiorentina appears to be fading too, as La Viola are closing in on signing Giacomo Bonaventura on a free transfer and he would cover the same roles.
According to il Corriere dello Sport meanwhile, there is a possibility that Paquetà could be used in a deal to land Florentino Luis from Benfica.
