A number of sources are reporting that Stefano Pioli could opt for some rotation in midfield in tomorrow night’s game against Benevento.
Heading into the last five games of the season, the Rossoneri have found themselves in a real battle to secure a top four spot despite having led the league for most of the season, and it seems as though the team are stuck in a rut after back-to-back defeats.
According to Calciomercato.com, Pioli could make some changes in tomorrow night’s game as Sandro Tonali could return from the first minute against Benevento. The boss is reflecting on giving Ismael Bennacer a rest in view of the crucial clash against Juventus and at the moment Tonali is ahead in the battle with Soualiho Meite to take his place.
This is backed up by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), who report that the Algerian midfielder is not in top form and for this Pioli could allow him to catch his breath tomorrow and then put him back in a starting spot against Juventus.
