Reports: Pioli to welcome back duo for Bologna trip but two more players pick up injuries

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to recover two players for this weekend’s trip to Bologna, it is claimed, but they could have two new additions to the injury room.

According to Sky (via MilanNews), Mario Mandzukic and Ismael Bennacer were present at Milanello today to train together with the rest of the team who were absent yesterday in the Coppa Italia derby against Inter. The two players should recover at least in order to make the bench for Saturday’s match.

Meanwhile, MilanNews are reporting that Simon Kjaer will undergo checks in the next few hours after yesterday’s early exit due to a muscle problem in his left thigh.

Brahim Diaz also did not appear at 100% as the Spanish attacking midfielder came out with some ailments from the game meaning his condition will be monitored, while the lack of a mention for Sandro Tonali suggests he may not be available.
