Reports: Rabiot still without a club – Milan and two Serie A rivals remain keen

It is approaching the second month of Adrien Rabiot’s spell without a club, and AC Milan are still considering the Frenchman, but they face competition from two Serie A rivals.

Before the summer mercato, it was reported that Milan would look to strengthen their midfield, by adding new profiles and restructuring the current set-up, and we have seen this so far with Paulo Fonseca at the helm.

The main target was Youssouf Fofana, and the operation to sign the Frenchman lasted longer than most fans would have liked. However, the Rossoneri landed the player eventually, and brought him to the club this summer, rather than being forced to wait another year.

Fofana is not the only Frenchman that the Diavolo have held an interest in this summer, and they have held an extended interest in Adrien Rabiot’s situation, and with the midfielder still without a club, they remain hopeful of bringing him to the club.

Calciomercato.com have reported that Milan are still following the situation, as are their rivals Inter and AS Roma, but whether it will turn into anything concrete is yet to be seen, given Rabiot is still requesting outrageous figures from his next club to be.

The midfielder is asking for €7 million per season, and there have been many contacts between him and other clubs, but none are yet to bite.

  1. He’s asking for ludicrous money…perhaps he needs a better advisor. He makes our midfield better no doubt, but we are overloaded with midfielders.

He has inter written all over him though….free transfer and silly salary

    1. overloaded? Adli, Pobega and RLC shouldn’t be anywhere close to our midfield. him or Ricci and Kone is what we currently need. those 3 and Jovic shouldn’t be in Milan shirt.

      1. But they are in our midfield currently….Bennacer. Aldi, RLC, Musah, Pobega, Fofana, Reijnders, we need to shed weight before the likes of Rabiot. Vos or Kone arrive, and thats not including Zeroli or the no10s

      2. Jovic shouldn’t be in our team but we can’t afford quality striker or do you think they are no quality striker in the market?
Give Man City 250m and see if Haaland won’t come ? So be happy with what you have please

        1. monkey administration is not something to be happy about. Zlatan saying that he’s stopping Cardinale to spend is the biggest slap to the loyal fans. I have seen Milan shine and struggle afterwards for 10+ years, I don’t want some vulture fund to make us into an Italian Arsenal (not even the current one), always pushing for top 4th, never winning anything.

          1. Over €200 million spent in 2 years and you’re complaining about the management? Get behind the team or find another club.

          2. You should have donated or raised funds for the club you love too, it’s not your money they are spending, why playing a role in deciding how an investor spends his money?

          3. If you really look at the statistics, we have spent quite a bit in last few seasons, probably among top 10 spenders in Europe.

  2. This guy is too greedy. Allways left his club at final year of contract for free, he has no attachment, no feelings, I don’t like him.

  3. Keep asking for ridiculous salary and he’ll be joining Fiorentina next season for a reduced salary and an option for second year.
