AC Milan face competition from Real Madrid in the race to sign Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer this summer, according to a report from Spain.
It was recently reported by Calciomercato.com that Ajer is Milan’s number one choice to reinforce the defence this summer as they look to find a consistent partner for captain Alessio Romagnoli.
The report claims that there are currently two obstacles Milan most overcome, with the first being the €25million valuation, while the second is that Premier League side Leicester are keen.
Spurs have also been linked with the Norwegian international, but now it appears that another big club are on the tail of the 22-year-old.
According Spanish outlet Defensa Central – as cited by Calcioemercato.com – even Real Madrid have set their sights on Ajer as Zinedine Zidane looks to bolster his defensive depth.
Mundo Deportivo are also claiming that Los Blancos want Ajer, along with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Leicester.
