Reports: Real Madrid want buy-back as playmaker gives green light to Milan move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have received the green light from Brahim Diaz regarding a summer move but must now negotiate with Real Madrid, reports claim.

According to Friday’s editions of il Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport (via MilanLive), the 21-year-old attacking midfielder said yes to Milan as he wants to get more game time in the 2020-21 season, after making only 10 appearances for Real Madrid last season.

However, the tough part comes now as Milan must find an agreement with Real Madrid. Negotiations are underway on the basis of a loan with option to buy, but Los Blancos do not want to lose control of the player and therefore want to insert a buy-back clause in the contract.

Despite this, Milan seems confident that they will be able to close this deal in a few days and secure the former Manchester City man as a replacement for Giacomo Bonaventura as a player who can play on the wing or behind the strikers.
