Tijjani Reijnders

Reports: Reijnders to Milan is a done deal – the figures of the operation

Tijjani Reijnders is now really just one step away from AC Milan, with several reliable sources reporting that an agreement is imminent. In fact, Daniele Longo has even stated that the deal is done.

The negotiations between Milan and AZ Alkmaar were not easy and the Rossoneri saw two of their offers get rejected in the process. The third, however, has got them over the line and the sensations are positive as per Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto.

According to Daniele Longo, the deal is done and Milan will pay €20m plus bonuses to the Dutch side for the midfielder. The final details are being sorted and Reijnders could arrive in Italy for his medical already on Monday. The player will earn €1.7m per season.

Anto Vitiello has added that the new offer is indeed €20m plus bonuses and that a total agreement is ‘very close’. Reijnders is thus set to become the fifth signing of the summer for the Rossoneri, who have done well on the mercato so far.

Our own Luca Maninetti has also confirmed that the matter is at the finish line. Luca Bianchin has added that Reijnders gave up a salary of €3m per year from Alkmaar to sign for Milan at €1.6m per year plus a sign-on bonus.

  1. Great deal, a little patience can work wonders just as long as you don’t turn that into 8 weeks like we used to. Now onto Dominguez and Taremi

  2. Regardless of my disliking of ownership and what has happened in the past month or so I quite like this deal and is eager to see him in action for us.

  3. Wow, the man gave up 3 million to come to Milan.
Now that’s a sacrifice to make the deal happen.
    Hopefully he is successful

    1. 1.4 mil because he will apparently earn 1.6 but if these numbers are correct its still impressive and a clear sign that he really wants to join us. The sign on bonus might also change that significantly though + there might be some performance related bonuses.

  4. How can you say that Milan has “done well” on the mercato. For me, this is completely unfounded. Too me it seems we have signed no upgrades whatsoever.

    1. You couldn’t be more wrong. Our midfield is already better than last season’s, especially once Bennacer returns. RLC>Tonali. Pulisic>Diaz. Plus Reijnders, now, too.

    2. Every transfer we have had has been a clear upgrade. So you’re just blind. Even Sportiello is an upgrade over Tataransanu. Never mind Reijnders and Pulisic… who are definite upgrades.

  5. If this has really done, i guess all the money from Tonali’s sale has been used. So, we left with initial budget of 35 mil?

  6. If Romano confirmed it then it’s a done deal. Welcome Reijnders!

Now let’s get that RW, striker, another mid, Singo and a backup LB – are we are ok.
