Reports: Roma fight off Milan’s competition and will complete N’Dicka signing

By Oliver Fisher -

Roma have successfully fended off the competition and attempted hijack from AC Milan with the signing of Evan N’Dicka now imminent.

According to Calciomercato.com and Fabrizio Romano among other sources, Roma will follow up the signing of midfielder Houssem Aouar by sealing the arrival of N’Dicka, who is due to land in Italy this morning.

After his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt expires, the Ivorian centre-back will join the Giallorossi on a free transfer and will sign a five-year contract with a salary of around €3.5m net per year.

There was competition from Milan for Roma to contend with as multiple sources suggested a late hijack was attempted, but instead he has chosen the Giallorossi and will become one of the three starting centre-backs for next season.

Roma were able to beat intense competition for the player, given that he was available on a free and still has margins for growth at the age of 23.

  1. S Pioli is Great Loser and he has no Effective mind of Success because he Phoned by not Promissing starting Line up that was pushed even to Rome,
Not Forget S Pioli has S Kjear and Tomori and wnating to include the starting 11,
It was to promise him and give the starting 11.
Evan N’Dicka is better than all our Defense Players except T Hernendez.
Maldini amd Masara already neglected H
Ourear and this player as well

    1. Aour is bad kamada is much better and about ndcka I don’t get why we would want another CB yes tomori and kalulu did have bad seasons but one is 23 and the other 25 plus thiaw is a gem and kjaer and Gabbi’s can be good backups

      1. We need another CB especially a left footed because we don’t dont have but also because kjaer is 90% gonna get injured and same for gabbia . We needed Ndicka but pioli and brokebird couldn’t make the deal they could represent him a 4.5 m per year but no they think they can beat PSG for thuram 😂 also gabbia isn’t good backup and kjaer is gonna get a lot more injured

      2. Duh, for economic reasons. If Milan had signed N’dicka, then you can easily sell any of the CBs – if you have to. Anyone can pick up an injury any time.

He should have been signed and then you check him out during preseason to see his strengths and weaknesses live, and how he jells with the team.

You can promise a player first team spot, but he knows he must earn it – especially when you already have good players there. N’dicka would have been a good addition. It would have been easy to send Gabbia on loan to get more playing time. Or sell him, if you want to.

        1. Agreed. Just like Inter did with Lukaku and Dzeko ‘swap’ for simple example. If we want to be a selling club, at least just make sure we’d be a decent and wise one.

        2. Exactly, but Pioli told him that he won’t be a starter in his team. Cause as we know no one is ready for Pioli tactics. Players have spend years on the bench under Pioli and they are still not ready lol.

    1. Well, I don’t wish Kjaer gets injured, but it’s football and he’s not exactly a spring chicken. Getting N’dicka would have allowed Gabbia to go on loan for more playing time.

A call from Maldini would have sealed this if Milan had offered the same fee as Roma.

    1. Lol, Roma have been in talks with him for months. If Maldini wanted to call him that badly there was plenty of chance.

Don’t see everything so black and white – it doesn’t matter who is running Milan, he’s a guaranteed starter at Roma whereas he isn’t here.

  5. Shocking!!!! LOL. Like this was ever going to happen.

    PR SPIN by Redbird.

Furlani: I have a great idea to revolutionize the club!!! let’s sign all the free agent players, I’m sure ALL of them will want to come to Milan right?

Pioli: what will we pay them?

Furlani: well below market of course. You know we have a wage cap to maintain!

Pioli: I have Walter Birsa’s number can we call him?

    Furlani: too expensive

  6. Oh my God, so we’ve lost the only talented and affordable defender available in the entire world football market, now it’s really all gone, we’re utterly fvcked, game over, #CARDINALEOUT, #MILANISDEAD

    🙄😴🙄
