Reports: Roma fight off Milan’s competition and will complete N’Dicka signing

Roma have successfully fended off the competition and attempted hijack from AC Milan with the signing of Evan N’Dicka now imminent.

According to Calciomercato.com and Fabrizio Romano among other sources, Roma will follow up the signing of midfielder Houssem Aouar by sealing the arrival of N’Dicka, who is due to land in Italy this morning.

After his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt expires, the Ivorian centre-back will join the Giallorossi on a free transfer and will sign a five-year contract with a salary of around €3.5m net per year.

There was competition from Milan for Roma to contend with as multiple sources suggested a late hijack was attempted, but instead he has chosen the Giallorossi and will become one of the three starting centre-backs for next season.

Roma were able to beat intense competition for the player, given that he was available on a free and still has margins for growth at the age of 23.
