Reports: Exchange deal idea back on as Milan and Roma intensify talks – the situation

There are a number of reports claiming that Tammy Abraham could be on his way to AC Milan from AS Roma in an exchange deal involving Alexis Saelemaekers.

Milan have been linked with a move from Abraham over the past month or so when it became clear he is no longer a part of Daniele De Rossi’s plans at Roma, and the idea of a swap deal quickly followed that.

Things went quiet over the past few days, but according to Fabrizio Romano the talks are back on. He states that Milan and Roma will be in touch again in the next hours to understand if they can agree on deal for Abraham.

The journalist adds that Saelemaekers could be included in the deal but there is ‘no agreement in place yet’ and ‘more talks needed’ to try and find some kind of meeting point.

MilanNews report that it is Roma have requested information once again on the possibility of signing the winger, who risks being left out of the Champions League squad list at present.

From there, the idea of an operation involving Abraham came about, who is no longer in West Ham’s sights as it seemed in recent days. The eventual arrival of the Englishman could lead to Jovic’s exclusion from the Champions League list.

Calciomercato.com meanwhile state that Roma and Milan have intensified contacts to understand the feasibility of the operation. A conference call between Giorgio Furlani and Ghisolfi is scheduled for the next few hours to understand the economic factors at play.

Abraham strongly wants Milan while Saelemaekers is waiting for news and would also be happy to join Roma, knowing that at the moment he risks getting few minutes.
