Reports: Talks with CSKA Moscow break down as Castillejo is not convinced by Russia move

By Oliver Fisher -

Samu Castillejo is likely to say no to joining CSKA Moscow but the club already have a plan ahead of January, according to a report.

Journalist Carlo Pellegatti spoke on his YouTube channel (via MilanLive) about the negotiations that could see Castillejo end up in the Russian capital. He stated that the Spaniard is likely to say no to a potential move to join CSKA and with the Russian market closing today on September 7th, the situation doesn’t have the time to develop.

Despite this, Castillejo will remain to ensure a bit more squad depth and is a player who is always committed, the journalist remarks. There is the January market which will very soon be upon us, and Castillejo will probably be put on sale again at that time.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that Milan and CSKA Moscow have talked a lot in recent days to try to reach an agreement over Castillejo, but in the end the agreement was not found. Among other things, the player himself was not convinced by the idea of going to Russia.
