Reports: The latest on the fitness of Milan defensive trio ahead of derby against Inter

AC Milan are still waiting to receive a negative COVID test from Leo Duarte but there is positive news regarding two other defenders, reports claim.

According to Wednesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) Duarte is still testing positive for the Coronavirus having initially tested positive just before Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has since made a full recovery.

However, the paper claim that the Milan management are confident of receiving good news regarding the Brazilian in the coming days.

Meanwhile, according to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Andrea Conti returned to training with the rest of his team-mates on Tuesday and will be available to head coach Stefano Pioli.

Pioli is now waiting for Mateo Musacchio to return to full fitness as well as Matteo Gabbia, who is also in isolation having tested positive for COVID while on international duty with Italy’s U21 side.
