Repubblica: Arnault in advanced negotiations with Elliott over AC Milan takeover

By Isak Möller -

Even though there have been many denials, at least when the rumours first surfaced, Elliott Management could really sell AC Milan to Bernard Arnault. In fact, the news continues to arrive from the world of finance.

In the summer of 2018, the American hedge fund Elliott took over the Rossoneri, as Yonghong Li defaulted on his loan. Since then, they have started a revolution at the club, hiring the likes of Gazidis, Maldini and Boban, in addition to changing the strategy.

However, thus far, it hasn’t exactly paid off on the pitch, which is believed to have affected Elliott’s patience on the matter. According to today’s edition of La Repubblica (via MilanNews.it), the negotiations for a sale in the near future continue.

In fact, as the newspaper states, the talks between Elliott and Bernard Arnault have reached a crucial stage. This, of course, means that the negotiations are quite far gone, as previous rumours have suggested.
