Repubblica: €55m duo most likely to leave Milan in January; two Ibrahimovic alternatives

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are most likely to sell a midfielder and striker in January, while they have identified two alternatives to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are expected to be active during the winter market after a poor start to the season during which they have lost seven of their first 12 games, resulting in a ranking of 14th place in the Serie A table.

According to La Repubblica – as cited by Calciomercato.com – Franck Kessie and Krzysztof Piatek are the ‘main suspects’ to leave Milan in January in order to help raise funds.

We reported on Wednesday that Kessie is transferable for €20m in January as he is no longer part of the club’s plans, while La Repubblica reported that Napoli are interested in the Ivorian.

Piatek meanwhile arrived at Milan from Genoa in the January window for €35m (as per the Guardian) after he scored 12 goals before Christmas for the Rossoblu, but has been linked with an exit amid reports that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could return.

Should the Swede choose to reject Milan, Repubblica are claiming that Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic and Everton’s Moise Kean are alternatives – with the latter even having been offered by agent Mino Raiola as per La Gazzetta dello Sport.
