Repubblica: Elliott could complete AC Milan sale by December; Allegri named as manager

According to today’s edition of La Repubblica (via MilanNews.it), Elliott Management are working on the sale of AC Milan to one of the richest men in the world, Bernard Arnault, the owner of the Louis Vuitton group.

As stated in the report, the company have previously denied the alleged interest in taking over Milan, but the rumours continue to appear. In fact, it seems that the two parties are in advanced talks over the matter.

The price tag of the club has decreased from the initial €1.2bn to a more reasonable €960m in the negotiations. Furthermore, as the report continues, one of the advisors of the deal is a large London-based investment bank.

The operation could be closed by the end of the year, according to the report. In addition to this, the new owners are ready to put their trust in Massimiliano Allegri as the club’s new manager, even though PSG and Real Madrid are also interested in the Italian.
