Repubblica: Fiorentina keen on €15m midfielder linked with Milan and Arsenal

By Isak Möller -

As has been mentioned so many times in recent weeks, Milan are looking for a defensive midfielder on the transfer market. A third-choice is needed as Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie have been playing on overtime for too long.

According to yesterday’s edition of La Repubblica (via MilanNews.it), the Rossoneri are still in the running for Espanyol’s Marc Roca. The Spanish side were relegated to the second division and a bargain deal thus seems possible for the teams interested.

A while back, Mundo Deportivo (via MilanNews) reported that Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Sevilla, Arsenal and Milan are all interested. The asking price is set at around €15m despite a release clause of €40m in his contract.

However, a new team has joined the race, namely Fiorentina. Per Repubblica, the Tuscan side have added Roca to their radar and are following the situation with great interest. It remains to be seen where the 23-year-old will end up.
