Repubblica: Ibrahimovic travels to Monaco for decisive meeting – Milan or not?

By Isak Möller -

If Zlatan Ibrahimovic was destined to leave AC Milan just a few days ago, that certainly isn’t the case now. As Stefano Pioli has signed a new contract, the Swede could end up staying at the club.

Despite almost being 39-years-old, Ibrahimovic doesn’t seem willing to retire, which he made clear in the video he published this morning. Therefore, it will be very interesting to see where his future will be.

According to La Repubblica (via Milanlive.it), the striker will travel to Monaco today for a meeting with his agent, Mino Raiola. Obviously, the topic of discussion will be the future, which as mentioned could be at Milan after all.

Stefano Pioli has already made it clear that he wants to keep Ibrahimovic, per the newspaper, asking Ivan Gazidis to do everything he can to make it happen. The Swede is considered a leader by the group and his stay could thus be very important.

Then again, Ibrahimovic could also return to Sweden to play for Hammarby, a club which he owns 25% of.
