Repubblica: Conte still holds Milan intrigue despite Bayern Munich’s attempts

Bayern Munich have made another attempt to convince Antonio Conte to join at the end of the season but it remains ‘difficult’ for them to do so, a report claims.

It has already been confirmed that Bayern will have a new head coach ahead of next season as Tuchel will leave the club. As it stands they are well behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga table and out of the DFB-Pokal, leaving just the Champions League as a target.

According to La Repubblica, Conte – who has been out of action for a year now after the end of his experience at Spurs – wants to return to coaching, but his main target is to get a job Serie A.

In the next few weeks, Bayern will present a significant offer to the former Inter head coach, one that he will reflect on and evaluate despite holding a desire to return to coaching in Italy.

Taking command of a post-Tuchel Bayern remains a stimulating challenge, but the possible vacancies of Juve – who however seem to be oriented towards Thiago Motta – and Milan are the ones that pique Conte’s imagination.

The German club are also working on alternatives such as Roberto De Zerbi who is ready for a top club but is also wanted by Liverpool, as well as Rúben Amorim of Sporting CP and Sebastian Hoeness of Stuttgart.
