Repubblica: Milan listed as ‘potential investment’ by Arabian Investment Ministry

Rumours and reports about Saudi Arabian interest in AC Milan have been on the rise in the past year, and today, there is a new lead about the possibility of investment from the Middle East.

It is no secret that Gerry Cardinale and RedBird have been looking to source funding to put towards Milan in the past year. There have been few limits to the potential too, with the American businessman not ruling out partnerships or sponsorships for the club, or a new stadium.

In recent months, though, the reports went a little quieter, or at least quieter than they had been at the start of 2024. Therefore, it came as a bit of a shock when a journalist made some bold claims about interest from Saudi Arabia regarding a potential purchase of the club.

Today, though, these claims have been strengthened by some news from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Investment, as La Repubblica (via Milan News) has published. The document is entitled ‘Potential Investments from the Kingdom [of Saudi Arabia].

In the document, the Rossoneri are listed among other companies. Whilst there is no specification about the level of investment, or how the investment would be structured it is another concrete sign of interest from the Middle East.

Milan have not commented on the matter, and they likely won’t. Whether this will become anything more than interest also remains to be seen, after all, Saudi Arabian interest is not new.

    1. Yes agreed!
Go away Cardinale and take your tin soldiers with you, “Furlani, Ibra and Moncada” The men who destroyed a club single handed.

  1. Rather be american tbh. I just don’t like the Idea of being tired to a country where women aren’t treated right and whose prince ordered a murder on Khasoggi and made his body diasappear in acid

    1. Please you and your ignorant views can go somewhere far away. No one cares. I honestly hope you leave.

Stop talking about a culture you know nothing about and woman you know nothing about. It’s like Arabs saying I don’t like Italians because there hard-core racist, they drink alcohol and it poisons society, they promote interests which is one of the leading causes of ruined lives, they endulge in pre marriedal affairs which promotes single mom’s and broken homes etc.

I could go on about it but what’s the point. They are not coming to change your culture they would be coming to make sure the team you love isn’t being dragged the mud.

      Grow up

    2. Football is already tied to and owned by the Arabs. Saudis are gonna host a World Cup so Milan might as well get something out of that

    3. Can we please keep political views out of this. After all this is a sports not a political or country issue! But if you want to make it a political issue happy to have that discussion away from here!
