Repubblica: Milan and Torino in ‘frenetic’ talks over Messias – €8m bid ready

By Oliver Fisher -

Torino are in intense contacts with AC Milan to try and close the signing of Junior Messias in the coming days, according to a report.

According to the latest from La Repubblica, Messias could change clubs after two seasons with the Rossoneri. He scored six goals and added two assists across all competitions last season, but the feeling is that he is not a key part of the project.

The source claims that the Milan management have put the former Crotone star on the market and negotiations with Urbano Cairo have begun.

The valuation set by Milan is €10m, while the Granata are hoping to get a lower price and have an €8m offer ready. Contacts between the parties are ‘frenetic’ with the aim of getting things closed as quickly as possible.

Earlier today it was reported that Milan have agreed terms with Gustak Isaksen who could take Messias’ place, while Samuel Chukwueze continues to be linked.

    1. Messias gained 2 years of champions league experience. Plus he played many games in serie a. He would be valuable member of Torino squad. 10 million is logical fee, with add ons in my opinion.

        1. I‘d thought more something like 5m. His wages are not that super low either.

Regarding his age there is a bit of a point in him not having the same pro sport history and wear on the body as a 32yo footballer normally would have, so he should last a bit longer.

      1. I wouldn’t expect anyone to make an initial offer of more than 4mil for him or wanting to pay more than 6 mil. But let’s hope Torino are thinking exactly like you and pay 10 mil lol

        1. They didn’t want to pay 10M for Vlasic to West Ham, they offered 7M. His buy out clause was I think 18M and West Ham came down to 10M but no. So I can guarantee they won’t pay 10M for Messias.

  1. Considering how difficult it is for us to sell players, this amount for Messias seems like a fairy tale to me! I can’t remember how much they paid him a few years ago, but this would be a great deal.

  2. Milan paid 7.5 mil to sign Messias 2 years ago but Torino is giving them 8 mil now? It’s hard to believe but I hope it’s true.

  3. 8m sounds like a very good deal for Milan – could be a very good one for Torino too, if he’s a regular starter for a couple of seasons

  4. Nothing to do with the Messias transfer, just want to mention our previous am/rw option Noah Lang has been sold to PSV for a fee of ~12m, were we sleeping here or what do you guys think ? Imo he has shown more than that danish player (dutch international and recently had a nice assist in nations league)

    1. We are not sleeping. Ajax gave up on Noa Lang and sold him to a lesser league and now he is going back to Holland to a lesser club than Ajax. Is the rest of Europe also asleep?

      1. You realize Ajax finished 3th 6 points behind PSV? They kinda suck now. And ‘gave up’ is a bad choice of words, they could not guarantee a starting spot which Lang wanted so they sold him to Bruges, a decision lots of Ajax fans didnt agree with btw. People in Holland see this as a world transfer by PSV, so to answer your question, yeah other bigger teams might be asleep as well. I bet he will be sold for 30m in 2yrs or something. Probably it are his quotes like ‘I make belgian league spicy’ and ‘you will miss me when Im gone’ that is holding bigger teams back

        1. He has good numbers but his personality is in the toilet, you dont want that kind a person in the club..
There is a reson no “big” club is intersted.
real reson why Ajax sold him was he clased with evryone even ter hag all the time

          1. Mwaa his teammates describe him as a nice guy actually, no complaints about his personality.. he is just really cocky. hr needs to zimmer down in that aspect and I think we have the personalities in the group to do so. This kid has a winners mentallity, maybe a risk sure, but for 12m it was worth taking it. His games he played for Holland I was really impressed. Imo he is in the same category as reijnders where we are going to pay 25 for

          2. Noa Lang reeks, this kid has a huge ego and would only complicate our locker room. Sure he may have a little talent but he sure isn’t going far with his big attitude, after all last summer he said he’s the Belgian leagues biggest asset

          3. @turtle,
            Thats a little overloaded.
            @Gigi
Aaaah media talks, if he would complicatie a locker room, he would not be part of Hollands national team. Journalists like to have a bad guy and he is an easy target. You act like you know him personal, come on now
Big ego yes, bad attitude..wouldnt say so

          4. Its not media talks.. There is a video of him and peope have came forward to talk about his sh!t behavior.
And no its not overloaded, whatever that means.. Its reallity. Why can a mid table club buy a player for 15M but when Milan asks for the same player the price tag is 20-30M?
He is in the national team and in 2 years made 8 apperances.. is that supposed to be impressive?
Pass on Lang, Milan is better of givng Chaka Traorè a spot in the team

          5. Ofcourse not, Milan could’ve got him for 17,5 mil if they played it well. Thats reality, 25 mil come on ahah.
And whats your point, in those 2 years he went up in an upward trend, he is still just 24 years of age. Reijnders has the same age and is yet to make minutes in the orange jersey. And tell me, which people came forward? And give me names of plagers, not journalists

          6. 25M, minimum..
you sure are sticking up for Lang, waht are you, his broher?
Exepct Milan needs reijny but Milan does not need lang

    2. Last season ACM asking to club brugge about noa lang , their asking price 20-25m euro. Of course ACM wont pay that just for leao deputy

  5. Only players worth anything in Torino are Schurs, Ricci and Ilic, so Messias is an insta upgrade..
Shame we cant slip them salad for 20M, they could use him and we could use the 20M

  6. Lol. Now accept this offer tonight immediately ! Torino directors will sober in the morning and will change their mind
