AC Milan are trying to break down the wall that Fiorentina have put up around Nikola Milenkovic, according to a report, with La Viola trying to get him to sign an extension.
The Rossoneri are believed to be in the market for a young centre-back who can rotate with captain Alessio Romagnoli and the experienced Simon Kjaer, and Milenkovic is the name that continues to be linked the most.
According to Repubblica Firenze (via MilanNews), Milan are pressing hard to try and get Milenkovic before the start of next season. The paper adds that the Rossoneri are trying in every way, including trying to get Lucas Paquetà into the negotiation to offer an incentive to La Viola.
However, Rocco Commisso’s side are continuing to hope that the Serbia international signs a renewal on his current deal, which expires in 2022, but at the moment it seems like an uphill struggle as the player has his head turned.
