Repubblica: Three rings and 70k seats – Milan’s plan for La Maura stadium

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have decided to focus on the La Maura area for their new stadium and compared to the San Siro project, they will be able to build a bigger stadium. In fact, it could be a 70k-seater.

AC Milan and Inter have been working on a new stadium for quite some time and their plan for the San Siro are included a 60-65k stadium. As the Rossoneri have decided to focus on La Maura on their own instead, the new plan is a 70k stadium.

According to La Repubblica, as cited by SempreMilan.it, the stadium would have three rings and would be able to seat 70k fans. The stadium will have many other modern features, such as corporate seating, which will really increase revenue.

The sold-out clashes at San Siro this season have had around 75k fans present and that’s why it’s so important that the La Maura project is 70k rather than 60k. Having 15k less than now would really risk increasing the ticket prices too much.
