Oliver and Bdair differed with their predictions for AC Milan’s game against Cagliari tonight, although both are confident that Champions League qualification will be clinched.
Sitting two points ahead of Como and Juve, and level on points with Roma, Milan just need to go out there and win their game tonight. They have historically had a very easy time against Cagliari at home, but given the recent form, there are no guarantees.

A draw could also be enough for Milan to finish in the top four, seeing as they have H2H advantage over Roma and Como (albeit not Juventus). This means that the Rossoneri could make it even with a poor display, even if they shouldn’t aim for that.
In the latest podcast episode, Oliver and Ahmed both delivered their predictions for the game. As opposed to previous games, they differed this time with Oli going for a win and Ahmed going for a draw.
Ahmed: “If Milan will win? No, but I think the results will go our way. Como will beat Cremonese, we will draw, Roma will beat Verona, Juve will draw, and then we will finish in the top four.”
Oliver: “I think we are going to win the game and take care of business. It don’t think it’s going to be pretty, it might be another Genoa performance, but knowing that the finish line is just there, I’m hoping we can summon a bit more spirit.”
Hopefully the Rossoneri will come pressing high, breathing fire, and will score in the first 15 minutes and open the game up for a counter to make it 2-0. Let’s get Nkunku and Pulisic up front and really put our foot to the floor.

If Juventus wins against Ahmed prediction, and Milan draws, the club could lose millions in the Champions League in mere seconds, because football doesn’t guarantee what happens on other pitches. It assumes the team possesses sufficient “spirit” to secure the victory, which is doubtful given the general frustration and lack of technical stability at the end of this season. The “Oliver scenario” is the only acceptable strategic path elite clubs don’t base their financial and sporting futures on the assumption that “results will go our way” on other pitches. The team must go onto the field to seize the three points and defeat Cagliari.
