Samuele Ricci has admitted that he spoke to Matteo Gabbia to ask him about what playing for AC Milan is like before joining.
Milan have been linked with Ricci for several years, and finally a deal was agreed to bring him to the Rossoneri at the age of 24. He signed from Torino on a four-year deal, with the option for a fifth year in the club’s favour.
Fabrizio Romano tweeted the terms of the deal on Saturday afternoon: it will be a total package of €25m, which is broken down into a €23m fixed amount and then the rest in add-ons. We did an analysis of what he can bring to Milan.
Ricci gave his first interview to Milan TV and it was released on Saturday evening (read it in full here). As part of it, he was asked about those who he has played with before that are now at Milan.
“The last one I heard from was Gabbia, I asked him for some info on various things within the Milan world. We have a good relationship, we know each other from the national team. There are many others, there’s Pobega… I have a great relationship with everyone,” he said.
Ricci: “Is it a complete s**t show at Milan right now?”
Gabbia: “Absolutely! But at least you could get scouted by a bigger, more ambitious club and make a jump like Rijnders”
Ricci: “See you soon!”
