AC Milan had a very busy January window with five players arriving, but they are already planning ahead for the summer with Samuele Ricci the main target.
According to Calciomercato.com, Ricci is the name at the top of the list for Milan in view of next season. CEO Giorgio Furlani had even made a concrete attempt in the last days of the winter transfer window too.
He tried to land the Italian on loan with an obligation to buy that would kick in if certain objectives were met, but in the end the Granata decided to postpone his farewell until July, hoping for an international auction of sorts to drive the price up.
Ricci though is a profile that unites that Milan leadership in terms of unanimous approval. He is young, Italian and able to contribute right away: three characteristics that are just right for the Rossoneri.
An agreement between Milan and Ricci is virtually done over personal terms, now the more difficult one with president Urbano Cairo is needed. The asking price starts at above €30m which is certainly not a small figure.
Milan will try to include counterparts to lower the cash sum required. Samuele is ready for the leap to a top club and Inter also like him, but today his priority is the Rossoneri.
Absolutely must for next year and the future in general.
A gem of a player!
It really is up to the player. You won’t get an auction if he refuses one team outright. Seems like we do have personal terms agreed on. I’d do 25 million and a player. Maybe Chukwueze.
Chuk’s left foot costs way more than the 5M gap you are looking to fill, they would give some promising futuro/primavera player or Jovic to reduce the fee.
That’s what I’m thinking too. Plus isn’t Chuk on big salary for Torino’s level? I think it will end up being one of Zeroli, Liberali or Bartesaghi, and it will be a permanent transfer. Can’t have your cake and eat it too. I think ideally it’s Terraciano. He seems like the perfect profile for Torino and we don’t lose one of our more promising homegrown players.
Not Liberali or Terraciano
Are you saying we should keep Terraciano?
Prob exactly what we need in the mid. (Its good to take notice as well that Newcastle will have to sell a big player cause of ffp, so Tonali might be avaliable in the summer too.) Lastly will need to keep Felix somehow. If we can do this we will be not just ready for Scudetto race but also CL race.
This guy’s FB ref page is not compelling at all. Not saying that he isn’t a good player, but his xg, ball progression, touches, and defensive stats are worse than Tijani, Fofana, and Musah.
He should’ve been purchased in January
Cairo is a crazy man who has no problem forcing players to rot in Turin..
give them 20m plus Pobega who did awesome at Torino – or even better, give RLC + cash to Newcastle for Tonali!
If Ricci join to Milan. Who will out ? Fofana / reijnders / musah / RLC ?
