AC Milan got themselves in front very early in the game against Atalanta at the New Balance Arena.
It took Milan less than four minutes to take the lead, and it was a memorable moment for Samuele Ricci as he got his first goal for the club on a night when the Italian national team coach Gennaro Gattuso was watching closely.

Some nice work from Alexis Saelemaekers down the right drew a corner, which was cleared to the edge of the box and hit first time by Ricci from range, with the ball taking a nick off a defender and beating Carnesecchi.
⚽️ A goal for Ricci, in front of Gattuso! 🇮🇹

With all due respect, but this will not end well for us!
Horrible half of football. Everyone is on a different page. They better wake up fast.
Our worst 45 minutes with Allegri. Modric misplacing passes, Leao and Gimenez non existent, and basically we aren’t able to connect. Bartesagi and Salad aren’t helping much either
