Although the January mercato has just closed, AC Milan are already thinking to the summer, and there is a lot to focus on.
Whilst there are questions for Milan to answer now, the focus for some is already on the summer. Of course, for some areas of the club, their focus is the next mercato, and that is always the case. However, it seems Massimiliano Allegri is already considering moves.

This season, across both windows, it can be argued that he did not get everyone that he wanted. Indeed, he was left without another senior defender, whilst also not getting an elite striker, despite there being two chances to acquire one.
Allegri’s summer wishes
Now, ahead of the summer, Pietro Mazzara has taken stock of the mercato situation for MilanNews.
“We are in March and it is already time to think about the summer transfer market. A market in which this team, net of everything, will be strongly implemented in every department. Allegri’s requests are clear: two defenders are needed, one of whom is ready and who can also allow the passage to 4-3-3.
“We need “the right-sided Rabiot”, or a box-to-box midfielder that evens the contribution of the Frenchman on the other embankment of the midfield. And then you need at least a real striker, the one to whom you always give the starting jersey and then choose his offensive partner. And the possible reserve if Füllkrug should not be redeemed.
“These are the boxes to fill in to build a team that can withstand the double commitment. This is what Igli Tare was talking about yesterday in the pre-Cremonese-Milan and they need, in many of these roles, ready players.
“Some young bets can and will have to be made, but to make Milan more competitive it is necessary to cement the current certainties and implement them with ready people, who know how to create – especially in some roles – stronger competition in training during the week.
If anything, it should offer some reassurances about Allegri’s situation, the fact that key targets are already being outlined. It is a big summer, and again, the Diavolo need to get it right.
It’s important to approach the striker recruitment with calmness and an open mind and to do this early in the summer mercato and not wait for a panic buy at the end of the window. There are not many available names making the rounds, so they need to be strategic and get a longer term solution…
Valovic, M Kean, Scavlini and Dodo, these 4 must be the first through the doors for us, these 4 would make us very competitive domestically and in Europe

Why would both of them be coming thru the door?
Because Santi and Fulkrug would go, with Champions League, we need 6 attacking players, Vlavovic, M Kean, Nkunku, Pulisic, Salesmekers ( who could develop and is developing into a number 10) and Leao
We would also need 6 midfielders and we are close to having these: Modric, Jashari, Rabiot, Ricci, Fofana and Andre.
We would be looking at around 9 defenders (inc, wing backs or full backs), Bartesaghi ( we need to develop him by allowing him to be the starter), DeWinter, Pavlovic, Dodo, Sacvlini, Gabbia, Tomori and 2 covers ( for left and right fullback/wingbacks)
And possibly 3 goalkeepers.
Our transfer window should be targeted, and meticulously planned, why else have a coach like Allegri and not made up as we go along
Hard to do….vlahovic wage is so high…kean can be added if firenza go down like low cost option. Dodo is same thing. I will go for cambiasso alegri’s wish…on lw/lb…estupinan on selling….right singo…can play CB/RB….leao is problem….milan dont play tactic for him and even if they use wingers again he os out of focus…milan must bring one CM worker like rabiot….tonali played that way but he will be high demand. On attack milan must have one real No9…and one who can play behind or wide options…No9….is problem because there is no real players anymore. Second option can be ferran from barca or someone like him with multiple positions….CF role maybe can be endrick….but he must be on focus to work….really good player.

We have Tomori De Winter Pavlovic and Gabbia
if we get 2 minimum 1 will need to be sold and we have other reports that De Winter is trusted and Tomori is getting renewed so which is it
2 defenders because we want to shift to a 4 back line, also playing in more competitions next season. We have been plagued by injuries.

Vlahovic is not happening whatsoever. Allegri can climb on the rooftop of San Siro and scream Vlahovic’s name and nothing will go his way in this matter. The salary and agent’s bonuses are just way too much for this deal to happen.
I would agree and I am so happy that he is not happening. Kean is good but let’s see who else is in the cards for us.
“a right sided Rabiot” on paper is basically RLC and we know how bad that has been all season
RLC playing badly? then why was he re-called to the England team? and why did Allegri continue to select him.??? go ahead explain that and also name the matches where he was terrible…Greg you are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. before his injury RLC was on 2 goals in 2 games and his performances were good enough for the England coach and Allegri. But not you? You?
