RMC Sport: Milan join Man Utd and Chelsea in race for OGC Nice star

AC Milan are looking for another centre-back after the arrival of Matteo Gabbia, and a report has claimed that they have enquired about Jean-Clair Todibo.

According to RMC Sport, Todibo’s excellent start to the season has aroused the interest of top European clubs. Milan, Manchester United and Chelsea have all asked about the French defender, but he is not expected to leave this month.

Nice have conceded only nine league goals all season making them the best defence in Ligue 1 (ahead of PSG and Lille, 14 goals conceded), and it is thanks to Todibo given the 24-year-old has been playing at a very high level.

Milan have received information but it remains a ‘complicated’ pursuit for now. However, the rumours surrounding Fikayo Tomori – linked with a move to Bayern Munich – mean the management want to be prepared.

As mentioned, Chelsea and Manchester United are keen on signing him and would have no problems with the economic aspect of the deal. Tottenham made him a priority a few months ago and are likely to return with an attempt in the summer too.

OGC Nice, second in the table, do not wish to sell their star defender before January 31. His partnership with Dante is working wonderfully and that is why it would take a monster offer to make them reconsider.

It is worth noting that Milan have been linked with Todibo for the best part of half a decade, even since he was at Barcelona.
