Di Marzio: Roma accept €30m bid from Bournemouth for Milan target Zaniolo

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have new competition in the race to sign Nicolò Zaniolo from Roma as a Premier League side have a big bid ready, a report claims.

According to Fabrizio Romano and Di Marzio, Bournemouth have made an official bid to sign Zaniolo which is worth €30m as a guaranteed fee plus add-ons and sell-on clause, which is not far from what Roma’s reported asking price is.

Romano adds that Milan have already discussed personal terms with Zaniolo’s entourage in the last few days and that the player’s position/decision will be crucial in the outcome.

Meanwhile, an update from Di Marzio confirms that the English club have reached an agreement with Roma over the fee, and now it comes down to the player’s decision.

It has been reported by virtually every major source over the past few days that the Rossoneri management have been in talks over signing the 23-year-old Italy international but it is not known if an official bid has been made and if so what the formula and figures involved are.

    1. It’s a shame that Milan is competing with relegation threatened team for the signature of a player, same rubbish happened with cdk… Milan should stop insulting there self and make the purchase

    2. people like you probably think spending 80m on Fofana and 70m on Cucurella is very cool, if you want reckless spending go support Chelsea or Barca

  1. @Shaggy, No, that’s not business bro.
Roma is just being greedy to ask for that much for an injury player that also has a year left on his contract. It would be foolish for Milan to pay such an exorbitant amount. The player’s decision would be the final not the club. Let’s be calm

    1. Indeed. You can either pay too little, right amount or too much. Roma is asking for waaaaay too much and Milan should not cave in.

  2. It’s not a out being a relegation team, each Premier League clubs gets £79m due to equal share of TV rights, Norwich earned £98m for finish 20th, Serie A doesn’t come close to that.

    1. exactly.. i’ve been saying many time this simple logic,
+ new owner loan 600m to Elliot + new stadium, it’s mean we wont be able to compete in market even with Burnmouth at least till next 5 seasons

  3. It’s not about Bournemouth out pricing Milan, it’s about what the player is really worth, and what the player really wants, Milan is the ideal location for him, he will die a slow death in Bournemouth…

He only has 18 months contract, so 20million is a very fair price for him, paying over for him is not the way..

    1. A player is “worth” what someone is prepared to pay for him. Milan can try bargaining and bartering until the cows come home – and by doing that, they will continue to lose out on players they’re targeting.

      1. “A player is “worth” what someone is prepared to pay for him.”

LOL!!!! That’s what Juventus thought as well and look where it got them!! 😀 😀 😀

      2. Absolutely. Not just a player, but anything you wanna buy is worth whatever amount someone is willing to pay for it. That’s how free market works

        1. So you’re saying “overpriced” or “overvalued” are terms that should exists? Tell that to stock markets, would you? 😀 😀 😀

  5. He isn’t going to accept going to that team. So Roma is just wasting time. I still think he joins Milan over the weekend. He needs to make it clear it’s Milan or he stays and ruins their locker room!

  6. they’re just trying to get more cash from Milan for him.. doubt maldini is that naive. But if the dude would rather go there than Milan, nothing lost

  7. There is no chance in hell that zaniolo would join bournemouth, Its even well known that zaniolo wants to stay in italy so if roma want to gain a decent fee for him they better sell him to us,

  8. exactly.. i’ve been saying many time this simple logic,

  9. I could see Zaniolo being around a 10 goal contributor while missing ten games a year at Milan. In the PL where his physical fitness will be tested in every match, Although he would be a definite upgrade at RW, there are better options if Milan are going to have to pay 30 million euros for a winger
