TMW: Roma rushed into renewal talks as Milan, Inter and Juventus eye Zalewski

Roma have been rushed into trying to renew the contract of full-back Nicola Zalewski because of AC Milan’s interest, a report claims.

Zalewski had somewhat of a breakout season for Roma in 2021-22 as he made 16 league appearances for them and scored his first European goal in his first appearance for the Giallorossi, with some of the big clubs in Italy taking note.

TMW report that Roma have started contacts in recent to lock down Zalewski long term even if there is no immediate rush because his current contract expires in June 2025. The Giallorossi would like to extend that deadline until 2027, perhaps with a significant pay rise compared to his current €300k net per season.

News is expected in the next few weeks because the capital club have become aware that Milan are interested in the 20-year-old who is also attracting the attention of Juventus and Inter too.

  1. He has 3 years left on his contract. What a stupid rumour. Milan have a limited budget and the priority will be a striker. That will leave very little for other areas.
