Official: AC Milan announce Romagnoli has recovered from Covid and will return to training

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have confirmed that defender Alessio Romagnoli has tested negative for Covid-19 and will return to training from Tuesday.

Via a statement on the club’s official website, Milan announced that Romagnoli has tested negative for Covid-19 meaning that he has recovered and will be at the disposal of Stefano Pioli and the coaching staff from tomorrow.

Pioli could have done with him tonight given that he has an emergency in the defensive department as Simon Kjaer’s knee injury will keep him out for the rest of the season while Fikayo Tomori underwent keyhole surgery last week and will miss around 30 days.

The good news is that Romagnoli will be back for the next home game against Juventus which is of course a huge clash against not only a traditional rival for the Rossoneri but also a team they would like to establish some distance from in the standings.
