Romagnoli reflects on Parma win: “The important thing is not to lose spirit”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli has urged his team-mates not to lose their spirit following Sunday’s victory over Parma.

The Rossoneri took an important psychological step at the Stadio Ennio Tardini as they registered their second win under head coach Stefano Pioli.

Milan dominated the game for large parts but it looked as though a lack of execution in the final third would once again prevent them from securing a vital three points.

However, left-back Theo Hernandez popped up in the 88th minute to score his third goal of the season and capture a valuable three points for Pioli’s side.

Romagnoli spoke to the microphones of Sky Italy at the end of the Rossoneri’s 1-0 win against Parma.

“We have created many chances but we did not manage to score even one goal until Theo scored. Bravo Theo,” he said (via Calciomercato.com).

“It was a fundamental game for us. We must start from this game and continue to win like we did today.

“Could it be a breakthrough? I hope so, it gives more certainty. We are doing well every day in training, the important thing is not to lose spirit and keep playing like today.”
