As we wrote last night, it is dependent on movement elsewhere for Vlahovic. It is something which could hurt Milan massively, or it could pay off massively. Though it seems like the Rossoneri are ready to gamble with that.

Coming into next season, another striker is needed. That fact cannot be avoided. However, there is a game being played with the mercato which could impact who arrives, when and for how much. This is the risk.
Romano’s opinion
If it were up to the Diavolo and money were not an issue, it is likely Vlahovic would already be present. His name continues to appear on the radar, and he has captivated the club, most so Massimiliano Allegri, who wants a reunion.
Speaking today, Fabrizio Romano (via Garante_Il on X) looked at the situation whilst offering his own view on the situation.
“Vlahovic, in my opinion, we’ll keep him until the end, until the last days. Milan keeps thinking about it, especially Allegri. Milan is in, but on their terms: a price that must be very low. Meanwhile, Juve pays the July salary, pays August…”
Realistically there are three options – Premier League, Saudis or Milan. For now there is no interest from Premier League, so lets see what happens next.
I’m also confused about this situation. Why dk they keep saying they would have to pay his salary or the remaining salary? If milan had purchased him from juve, we are negotiating our own salary with him so why would juve have to pay the rest of milan cover it?
Vlahovic is owed 12m net this season which he wants to collect. Neither Juve or Milan want to pay the full salary. If we buy him and Juve pays half, it’s still a net positive for Juve and us.
Ok but if he is purchased and agrees a new contract is that deal not terminated and he would only be owed his ‘new salary’? Like the only way he can claim thqt is if he stays another season
Contracts aren’t that rigid. He could be offered 12M for the first season, half paid by Milan, half paid by Juventus, and then let’s say 8M for the remaining four seasons (assuming a 5 year contract) all paid by Milan, or any such combination. The 12M could also be reached in the form of bonuses, again let’s say 8M base salary for 5 years paid by Milan, and a 4M “signing bonus” paid by Juventus, or Juventus further discounts the sale price allowing Milan to the signing bonus or a higher base salary over the 5 years, etc.
Yes, you’re correct. But because Milan won’t offer him the same salary as he has at Juventus, he wants Juve to pay the difference in order to terminate the contract so he doesn’t lose out.
They don’t want to terminate his contract but sell him for 15-20M. Maybe less now…
