Romano: Barcelona starlet offered to AC Milan; the Rossoneri’s response

By Isak Möller -

With the January transfer window just around the corner, AC Milan are at work to identify possible solutions on the transfer market. By the looks of it, they could try to bring in one player per department.

As Calciomercato.com’s Fabrizio Romano reports this evening, Barcelona youngster Carles Aleñá was proposed to AC Milan a few weeks ago: an opportunity for the midfield in January. The response from the Rossoneri, though, was negative.

As seems to be the Catalan side’s main strategy with young players, they didn’t want to loan him out without including a buy-out clause. Per Romano, Milan aren’t interested in these types of operations for young players.

Now, as the reporter continues, the 21-year-old is just details away from joining Real Betis. In other words, the Rossoneri decided to pass on the opportunity, focusing on other targets instead. It remains to be seen if they will sign any midfielder.
