Romano: Bennacer changes his agent to spark inevitable Milan departure

Ismael Bennacer has changed his agent as a move away from AC Milan is on the cards, with the Middle East a potential next destination.

Bennacer was sent out on loan for the 2025-26 season as Milan weren’t able to find a permanent solution for him. He went to Dinamo Zagreb, of all places, and helped alleviate some financial pressure off of the Rossoneri as the Croatian side paid part of the wages.

However, it wasn’t exactly a super success for the midfielder, who now will need to find a new solution for next season. Milan have no intention of keeping him around and this time, a permanent move has to be the outcome.

New agent to spark a move

In a video on YouTube, Fabrizio Romano spoke a little bit about Bennacer, confirming that he has switched agents. Milan, and the player, are hoping that this could be the spark needed to find a new club for next season.

“Ismael Bennacer has changed his agency. He has signed with Fali Ramadani’s Lian Sports and is now ready to leave Milan. He’s obviously not part of the Rossoneri’s plans, Amorim was very clear with him about this.

“Work is already underway to find his next destination. I believe it could be the Middle East,” he stated.

  1. I’m genuinely sorry for Bennacer—he would have been a perfect fit in Amorim’s system if he hadn’t been so fragile.

  2. Why don’t we evaluate him during preseason. His well suited to his system and closest player we have to modric in terms of passing and playmaking abilities from the midfield. If his body doesn’t die on him during preseason we should seriously consider keeping him ahead of Loftus cheek and Fofana if his sold. Such a good player when injury free..

  3. Good info if he goes. Club can save a lot and many capital gain something.

Unfortunately, Bennacer was one of best player in the team. But some players also needs to have problems with injuries. If he can continue his career somewhere or anywhere where physically is not intensive like in Serie A – he should go and continue his career.
Bennacer will not be forgotten in terms how special he was in his prime years playing for Milan.

    1. There’s no capital gains possible, it’s just a case of how much the club is prepared to pay up on his salary at this point.
