AC Milan are at risk of seeing another one of their summer targets slip away as Brighton are in talks over Feyenoord midfielder Mats Wieffer, a report has claimed.
Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Milan have two names that stand out above the others on their wish list for the midfield and that one of them is Wieffer, a 24-year-old who has been one of Feyenoord’s star men.
He was one of the regular starters under Arne Slot but given that he has left for Liverpool there are some doubts about some of the key men at the Dutch club, who may also look to take a step forward in their careers. He made 42 total appearances last season, with six goals and four assists.
According to the latest from Romano, Brighton have started talks with Wieffer’s agents and he has been included in their shortlist, but he is ‘one of several players also monitored by AC Milan’, suggesting there is still a battle on.
Brighton have begun talks with the player’s entourage and are ‘waiting to advance with Feyenoord’, while their new head coach Hürzeler – who replaced Roberto De Zerbi having arrived from St. Pauli – has given the green light to the deal.

They already have wataru endo for DMF in liverpool ( maybe arne want to see his ability in pre season first before deciding buy new DMF or not)
Both Wieffer and Schouten would be good signings. I preferr Wieffer as he is younger, more physically imposing and better defensively. But Schouten is a good back up.
Brighton might battle but Milan won’t. Milan will be waving the white flag and lie down on the ground shaking every time someone even thinks about buying a player Milan wants.
Weifer is a good player. Unproven at a big league but he has the potential. Fofana by the sounds of it is our main target. Another player I like but is expensive is Paulinho from Portugal & Fulham. He is very physical like Gattuso but will be expensive. Ugarte is another similar type of CDM.

Weifer is just about being average and a little bit above average.
