Fabrizio Romano has provided some clarification on Rasmus Hojlund’s stance, confirming that he is not directly rejecting AC Milan.
The talks between Milan and Manchester United for Hojlund began a few days ago and seemed to accelerate towards handshakes. However, the major doubt seems to be about the player himself and whether he is willing to make the switch.

The Manchester Evening News claimed yesterday that the ex-Atalanta man is now opening up to the idea of leaving Old Trafford, but the acceleration in things has not followed, with other sources claiming he is digging his heels in, much to Arrigo Sacchi’s annoyance.

Fabrizio Romano spoke about Milan’s interest in Rasmus Hojlund in a video posted on his YouTube channel and he provided an update on where things are at between the clubs and the Dane.
“Milan continue to discuss figures with intermediaries and Manchester United, who have already opened up to a loan with an option to buy. I can also confirm the possible figures: €6m loan, salary paid, and €45m option to buy,” he said (via MilanNews).
“But Hojlund still didn’t express any openness to leaving United last night, in the contacts between Milan and his agents. Therefore, the deal can’t be definitively accelerated without Hojlund’s approval.
“But I want to clarify one thing: the Dane isn’t rejecting Milan, he doesn’t want to leave United, which is a different matter. The same message has been sent to other clubs interested in him, such as Leipzig.
“To date, Hojlund continues to reiterate his desire to play his cards at United, who, however, are also keen to get rid of the former Atalanta player. We’ll see if the player sticks to his guns or opens up to a departure.
“Milan remains on the lookout, but it’s clear they won’t be able to reach the finish line until the boy gives his OK.”
Move on. If he doesn’t want a move, we need to find a different target and fast.
Forget this loser, I can’t believe Milan want him, all the transfer we have done we have made sure the player is interested, even Sacchi lost his cool with this rubbish and then they make out Tare stayed behind to beg Hojlund.

This transfer window has been a pretty good one. Now just sell benaccer, Adli, Musah and maybe chukuweze. Thats 60 million maybe. We need a striker and maybe another center back? But it seems like liverpool are getting Leoni so he is probably gone. But for jow the mercati has been a 7,5/10 in my opinion.
I would keep Musah, as then we’d be short numbers in midfield. I have a feeling he will be kept as well, unless an offer of 30M or more arrives. If he leaves we’ll have to bring in a replacement and we’re days away from the beginning of the season. We need to move Adli, Bennacer and one of Okafor or Chukwueze, then we need to bring in a striker (definitely) and another CB (ideally), and then we’re done.
Agreed. Focusing on a guy that Allegri played a lot instead of 2 guys that are in Futuro is useless. Bennacer is paid 3 times more, they should be working on that one day and night since there is a few weeks of the window. In the end if we get to last few days, it will be a loan where not even full salary will be covered. Milan won’t be able to refuse.
Agree, but we have musah loftus jashari modric fofana ricci. I don’t think we need 6 players, cuz we only play once a week. Maybe a dry lone for musah would be ideal?

I think 6 mil loan with an option at 30-34 mil seems more reasonable to me and on such terms I wouldn’t mind the whereas a deal at 6+45 mil is a bit too excessive for my taste.

As I said I wouldn’t mind him joining us but 45mil +6 mil initial loan fee is nevertheless somewhat excessive in my view, the other numbers I mentioned would make more sense and just because utd. overpaid its not like we should pay for their mistakes but I do think he could come good for us.

Can’t blame the boy. Man utd is his dream club, and, having to be pushed out is hard for him. The reverse is what happened with Club Brugge and Jashari, especially, with Milan making him their priority for the midfield. Jashari would have been heartbroken if Milan had turned to Guerra.

I’m really glad Hojlund doesn’t want to come to Milan. He’s not good and would a complete waste of money even on a loan deal. Get Boniface. People say he’s injury prone but the same was said about Pulisic before he arrived at Milan.
