AC Milan finally seem set to add a top-level striker this summer, two years after the departure of Olivier Giroud.
When there was talk about Giroud leaving, Milan were aware that they needed to make a sizeable investment to replace him. Instead, Alvaro Morata joined after months of links to Joshua Zirkzee. Then, it was Santiago Gimenez, then Christopher Nkunku and then Niclas Füllkrug.

Four strikers, four consecutive mercatos, four questionable choices.
However, that streak now seems likely to end, with the Rossoneri preparing to meet the demands of Ruben Amorim with a marquee signing this summer.
Major signing inbound
Speaking this afternoon on his YouTube channel, via MilanNews, Romano stated that the Rossoneri will make a plunge into the striker market.
“There’s been a lot of talk about this Porto possibility, and there was talk of Orlando City. Right now, I can assure you that Porto is denying it. President Villas Boas and everyone involved at Porto have also made it clear they’re not negotiating for Santi Gimenez.
“It’s June 25th, two months away: if Porto or any other team arrives between now and the end of August, we’ll let you know. But today, Porto is denying having made offers or even begun negotiations for Santi Gimenez.
“I think his transfer window will start a little later, there will definitely be some movement, I can confidently say: Milan will sign a top striker. I expect Milan to make a major signing up front. I’m fully committed to this; it’s one of the important things Amorim and the Rossoneri management discussed: I expect Milan to make a big move up front.
“From Santi Gimenez’s perspective, it’s clear that with another striker arriving, there will be movement on his exit. But not Porto at the moment.”
Considering the importance of the position – and more importantly, how long it has haunted the Diavolo – they must get this right. It is a major opportunity to start the refresh on the right foot and those opportunities are rare.
That’ll be all for nothing if we don’t sign quality players in each department- CB, LWB, MC, AMC
(& SC, of course), proper striker alone won’t be enough. There can be no compromise about it, they really need to get it 5/5, not just 4 out of 5
or 3 out of 5, a 100 percent result is needed. Is that a possible mission and task for us or not?!
Maybe it’s just me, but I’d almost wrap us who we have and try and play Camarda alot. To be perfectly honest, I don’t trust the management’s ability to buy a striker as we failed the last couple years. Because this is probably gonna be a rebuild season anyway I’d rather focus on betting on out own youth. Although some people would argue that it’s too soon I don’t think there’s a better time to take a gamble on the kid now that we’re coming into the season with next to zero expectations
Um seeing as we don’t have anyone capable of putting the ball in the back of the net (apart from untested Camarda) I think we need more than 1 striker…
Carmarda is a Serie C player. Sorry, but he is just not good enough.
