Romano: ‘Final round of talks’ – Milan and Spurs ‘on the verge’ of agreeing €15m deal

AC Milan and Spurs are expected to have another round of talks today and they are expected to close a deal for Emerson Royal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The management are continuing to work to close other incoming deals after Alvaro Morata and Strahinja Pavlovic arrived, and the right-back position is one that they are seemingly looking to address.

According to the latest from Fabrizio Romano, Milan and Tottenham are set for a ‘final round of talks’ to close the operation today, one which is likely to be a deal worth €15m as a fixed fee.

That is the amount which the London club have always held out for and there will be bonuses on top, with Romano adding that the Brazilian is ‘on the verge of becoming a new Milan player’.

The former Real Betis and Barcelona defender will compete with Davide Calabria for a starting spot on the right side of the defence, and it has been reported that he was a specific request from Paulo Fonseca.

Royal is a man looking for a bounce back season. In the last Premier League campaign he almost halved his starting appearances with Tottenham, from 20 to 11, after being important under Antonio Conte.
